Currently, the RCLC provides tutors for adults and children who are having reading problems, as well as providing childhood mentors who volunteer in elementary school classrooms.  RCLC's "Books for Babes" program (operating out of Grayling Mercy Hospital) provides a bag of books, bib, and helpful literature for new mothers.  We are also an affiliate for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Roscommon County, which, upon enrollment, will send one book per month to each child until his/her 5th birthday.

RCLC helps the Roscommon Area District Library with their summer story time hours on Thursdays at 10:30am.

If you know of anyone who could benefit from our services, OR, if you would like to find out how you can become involved in helping others with literacy problems, please contact us at (989) 275-4506.

The Scholastic Book Fairs

RCLC's Book Fairs are in July at the Arts Festival and in December at Christmas in the Village. Books from all levels will be available for purchase-including books for babies through adults.   Proceeds from the fair will allow the literacy council to provide books for our "Books for Babes" program which distributes books to new mothers in Roscommon County.
