Summer Reading Program

Our Summer Reading Program (SRP) is a five-week series of activities and events for all ages! Participants can earn tickets to enter for prizes by reading at home and participating in the different activities each week at the library. 

How to Participate

REGISTER at the library beginning June 25th

READ and PARTICIPATE in library events and activities

EARN a ticket for a prize entry every time you:

  • Attend a library program
  • Read one book (ages 9+)
  • Read or are read to for one hour (ages 0-8)
  • You'll get 5 tickets upon registration to get started

ENTER your tickets into the prize drawings at the library to win. The more you participate, the more chances you'll have to win. 

EARN your tickets between June 25th and July 27th.

FAQ

  • How do I register?
    • All ages can register at RADL or the Lyon Township Branch library. Simply ask to sign up at the circulation desk!
  • Is there a cost to participate?
    • Our programs and activities are free for our patrons. Our SRP is funded by library budget and our Friends of the Library group. Thanks, RADL Friends of the Library! We appreciate you.
  • Do I need to live in Roscommon?
    • Our program is open to anyone in our area, permanent residents or those visiting seasonally.
  • Do I have to participate in activities and programs?
    • We hope you'll want to join us! These are optional, but by participating, you'll earn another ticket.
  • Isn't it easier for my younger child to earn a ticket than my older child?
    • Participants can only enter for prizes in their age group, so everyone in the same age group will be earning tickets at the same rate.
  • Do I need to be present to win?
    • No. Please make sure you include a phone number when registering so we can contact you about any prize you win.
